Queen Anne dining table refinished - front view
Finished: Front view — deep dark-brown tone with even sheen
Queen Anne dining table refinished - angled view
Finished: Angled view — cabriole legs, scalloped apron, and consistent color

What was wrong

This Queen Anne dining table had excellent “bones” — cabriole legs with pad feet, a softly rounded top, and a scalloped apron — but the finish had worn unevenly.
The top surface and the curved leg/apron geometry showed variations in tone and sheen that made touch-up work a poor long-term solution.

What we did

  • Complete strip of the existing finish across the top, apron, cabriole legs, and pad feet.
  • Full surface preparation to bring all components to an even, consistent condition.
  • Custom dark-brown finish developed and applied in stages across the complete piece.
  • Hand work on curved geometry to maintain crisp scallops and consistent leg transitions.
  • Protective topcoat system built in multiple leveled coats for durability and uniform sheen.

Care tips

  • Use placemats/coasters and felt pads; avoid dragging items across the top.
  • Clean with a microfiber cloth; avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
  • Wipe spills promptly; avoid prolonged heat and moisture exposure.
  • If sheen begins to dull in high-use areas, book maintenance early.
