Certificate of Restoration

About this restoration
This Danish teak dining table is a strong example of mid-century Scandinavian design: two sculptural pedestal bases, splayed feet, a softly rounded top with an extension leaf, and warm consistent teak grain throughout. The restoration focused on bringing that clean design and natural teak character fully back into view through a complete refinish of the top and base.
What we restored
The existing surface had gone dull and dry, muting the natural warmth that makes Danish teak instantly recognizable. The goal was not to change the piece, but to restore clarity, depth, and that signature amber-orange glow so the wood and design could speak for themselves again.
What we did
- Fully refinished the tabletop to restore the warmth, consistency, and clarity of the teak grain.
- Refinished both pedestal bases so the sculptural form and splayed feet match the restored top.
- Removed the old worn surface so the natural teak character could come forward again.
- Restored the wood’s natural amber-orange tone without obscuring the clean Scandinavian look.
- Applied a fresh protective finish system for an even sheen, durable surface, and long-term use.
Care tips
- Use placemats, coasters, and felt pads to protect the surface from scratches and moisture.
- Clean with a soft microfiber cloth; avoid harsh chemical cleaners and silicone sprays.
- Wipe spills promptly and do not leave standing water on the surface.
- Keep the table away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat vents to protect the finish.
- If the surface begins to look dry or dull again, book maintenance early.
